When Alicia was all "AS YOUR LAWYER I totally recommend against banging that chick," I was telling randomizer that it reminded me of that scene in Lost Girl where Lauren was like "As your *doctor* I'd prefer if you stuck with someone less *well-traveled* than Dyson" and the audience is all "uh huh, okay Hotpants."

Yes! I was like "Yes, Alicia, dispense more ~LAWYERLY ADVICE. Because that's the kind of advice lawyers usually give. You know. On who to date. Not on the LAW or anything like that."

OH GOD. YOU PUT KALINDA IN THE HOSPITAL. HOW COULD YOU, I HATE YOU, I HATE YOU. OKAY, I LOVE YOU, BUT KALINDA, BB GIRL.

I seriously could read about Alicia *getting it* over and over again. Sometimes I worry that THIS IS WHAT IT WILL TAKE because of her stupid denseness to the Epic Love.

I HAVE TO TELL YOU. I was really inspired by the scene in the Once Upon a Time pilot where we find out Charming is in the hospital, comatose. There's something just so sad about that moment, to me, when the camera zooms out and he seems so isolated. PLUS I FEEL ABOUT SNOW/CHARMING WHAT I FEEL FOR KALICIA, WHICH IS TO SAY: ASFKDJ;SFJSGRGNORG!

Man, it's totally going to take Kalinda getting shot for Alicia to realize. TOTALLY. Even though I definitely think Alicia's awkwardness at the bar was a flash of jealousy over Lana (or, rather, Kalinda's potential interest in Lana)--her denial engine is just too well-developed for her to ever really go there in her mind without some huge external impetus.

Their first big fight since--well, since the last huge blowout, the one that ended with a hissed good that makes Alicia feel nauseous when she thinks about it now--comes when Kalinda is ready to be released from the hospital

HEY. HEY, DID I *TELL* YOU THAT ONE OF MY SECRET TROPE-Y WISHES FOR THIS STORYLINE IS THAT IT WILL END WITH KALINDA HAVING TO STAY WITH ALICIA FOR SOME SORT OF EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME, OR DID YOU JUST GUESS?? LIKE -- I THINK THAT WOULD BREAK ME. IN ALL THE GOOD WAYS THIS TIME.

God, Alicia. I can't believe it might take MAJOR BODILY INJURY AND NEAR-DEATH to get through to you. You are a TOUGH COOKIE, babe.

NO YOU DID NOT. BUT. ~LOOOOOOOVE. THAT WOULD BE ALICIA'S GRAND GESTURE, TOTALLY. IT WOULD BE HUGE FOR THEM. AND IF ALICIA'S KIDS WOULD DISAPPEAR, I COULD TOTES SEE IT HAPPENING. And you just know that Alicia would secretly (or not-so-secretly) love it! Having Kalinda at her beck and call? Yes please!

Um, you KNOW I appreciate when this is expounded upon in DETAIL missy. Make it happen! OTP FIC IS AN EXCELLENT BABY GIFT. :) :)

(But really, appreciate even these little bits. Why aren't people writing more fic now? We were left with such a juicy cliffhanger!)

You know, I think it's a combination of things. Part of me thinks that S3 was just such a letdown that it just hasn't really sparked the fandom's creativity at all (fic across the board is so down for the fandom in general). Part of me wonders if the Kalicia in the last few episodes was just too little, too late. But I also wonder if it isn't--I mean, their love is so epic in CANON, you know? I'm a little bit like, how can fic even compare to the EPIC BIG BANG LOVE we've ALREADY been shown? HOW CAN WE WRITE ANYTHING THAT COULD COMPARE???

Well, properly understood, that's AWESOME, and it really bodes well for season 4. How am I supposed to pass the next four months again?

You're so right. Stuff like TAKING A BULLET FOR LOVE is really, usually relegated to the fic realm, unless we're talking cop procedurals or something. NOW what do write? The wedding and babies, I guess. :)

But yeah, also, most of the make-up scenarios have already been written, from the uber-angsty to the sweet and tender. Sometimes it feels like it makes more sense to just hang out and wait to see how it REALLY plays out.

BUT THERE'S STILL PORN, PEOPLE.

YES. And the writers--like, it feels earned on this show, you know? Unlike other shows (Lost Girl, I'm looking at YOU), it's so epic even in canon because we've seen Kalinda suffer and sweat and hurt for it. So it's more believable.

But yeah, also, most of the make-up scenarios have already been written, from the uber-angsty to the sweet and tender.

I do think that next year it will be easier to write for them, just because we'll have more of a sense of where they are as they begin to get back together.

Oh God, the only thing really epic about Lost Girl is the sex. If you combined TGW's epic quality/Kalinda's epic love, and LG's epic sex scenes, I'd just never leave the house again. I'd be sitting here watching reruns on loop for the rest of my life. Maybe it's better that this doesn't happen.

Strangely enough, I haven't at all lost my muse, for writing for these two. I just don't have any time or energy to do anything about it!

I DON'T KNOW, I AM HOPEFUL. I'm anxiously waiting to see what becomes of my fanfic writing career; I'm told people with children occasionally do still write fanfic. Someone needs to give me a crash course in time management, omg.
