Title: Your Secret Will Remain With Me

A rush of air befuddled Cary as he jogged into an opening beyond a maze of buildings. Quickly, he reached behind his neck and pulled the hood attached to his sweatshirt over his head, making it a shield against pounding wind.

Regaining his senses, Cary continued. Rushing past another row of buildings before he entered a park. He passed a fellow jogger while making his way around a small grove of trees, and, in recognizing the other man, Cary's face contorted in confusion before it morphed into a grin. Clarke Hayden? He snickered under his breath, then an impulse made him consider following him. Oh, what the hell?

Why am I so nervous? he wondered. Before he could come up with an answer, he watched as Clarke toddered off the path and plopped his bones on a weathered bench

It just occurred to me that you may have wanted a Cary and Clarke friendship fic. Please accept my apologies if that is the case. I always have slash goggles on.

No need to thank me! I had fun. Cabaret is one of my favorites. I think the only way I could have made the reference more tacky is to have made Eli suddenly appear out of thin air to contribute to the tune.

This is sweet! The dinner date is just as awkward as it should be (of course there would be embarrassing witnesses!) and the day after is just the epilogue I wanted it to be! These two are cute and really have great chemistry together! Go Cary ^^

I keep thinking of them now... Cary running up and kissing Clarke to silence his doubts, Cary and Clarke snuggling under a comforter on a window seat together, Clarke being a hideous flirt, Clarke being jealous. UGH! They are just too freaking cute together for their own good. OTP for sure. :)
