This takes place in the same ol' angsty universe as my current ongoing fic, "See-Through," because I'm having a hard time thinking outside that universe right now. This isn't part of that story technically, just a quick accompanying one-shot.

Lunchinanelevator! That was lovely as ever! I have to catch up on See-Through, considering the ficathon gave me... A lot to do... LOL ;) I`m so glad you wrote this, its really beautiful!

Hey, lunchinanelevator, I was just about to come clamouring for your traditional fun ficathon A/K PWP! Would you still consider writing one? Pleeease? ^^

… However, this is sweet and angsty and I am glad that Lana is a bit luckier in your fics than she is in canon! I do think she and Kalinda could have had a nice thing together. Besides, someone should definitely be there to comfort Kalinda, and if Alicia won’t…

And damn, I had no idea you had another fic going! *gone to check*

Hehe, thanks! I haven't yet found a prompt that deeply inspires my PWP--I'm not feelin' it with Alicia these days--but someone just posted a whole bunch of Lana-oriented prompts downthread, so maybe I'll find it there. And I like Lana too.

I love getting this little side-dish to See-Through. I'm still in pain over what happened to Kalinda, so I'm glad that your Lana (who I like a lot more than the version in my head) has come through with some emotional succor. I'm always surprised that you manage to make me feel sympathy for Lana too btw.

Thanks! Since I came up with headcanon for her when I was writing Big Time, I've really liked Lana. I think she's probably annoying as fuck, but there's something really committed and truthful about her as played by Jill Flint. So I do have sympathy for her. I'm sorry to have caused you pain!

Yeeeaaassssss. Lunchinanelevator, you are hands down my favorite Good Wife fic writer. The universes you create come across as actual extensions of the show and I think you have an acutely attuned grasp of all characters even ones we have comparatively seen little of like Sophia or in this instance, Lana. This was really angsty but that is almost essential with this pair. Thanks for keeping me interested in the show via the potential of what could be.

Oh, thank you! That's really lovely to hear. I usually like going into the Kalinda lovers (except cop-dude, he's kind of boring).

This was simply wonderful. :)

I loved the fact that you were able to capture the dynamics of the two with so much delicious angst. :)

I just love how this makes a tiny bridge between Big Time and See-Through. Maybe that's just in my mind, but you do such a lovely job filling in the blanks between K and L, respecting the barriers between them but pulling out the parts that keep them engaged, and making them both just a little bit softer in the process.

I'm so glad you wrote!
