OMG, this is awesome!!! A fanfic about fanfics! Jamie and threeguesses’ fics being part of the plot! I’d have never though of using threeguesses’ unfinished longfic this way, but indeed! This is diabolical and hilarious, as always supported by a lot of real fact knowledge, and a very sweet tribute to us all shippers and particularly to our great fic writers -- and what an ending! May the Internet gods help this find its way to JM’s heart and bring her back to her senses about the show! ^^

I think "diabolical and hilarious" is my new fave compliment :D I had a lot of fun rereading fic to write this, but as a result the pain of "Insect Small" being unfinished is fresh once more! I think I'll end up like Cato the Elder, ending every speech to the Roman Senate with "Carthage must be destroyed" and end each fic with a lament about threeguesses ;-)

ME. ME. I'M THE NUTJOB THAT WROTE THAT FIC.

Aaaah. I am SO glad you wrote this, thank you thank you. It is fun and funny and apt and clever. There were several spots where I giggled at the in-joke ("“Well not about me...” Elle continued. “That would be...ugh, just no."" "Jules couldn’t decide if she was a therapist herself or just well-acquainted with being in the other chair in the room." -- LOL, both Jules, both.), and I also found myself nodding at what felt like a spot-on description of Julianna's thought process ("Of course the fannish types would be drawn in by the boots, and the bat and the hyper-sexuality.") I adore the idea that she would be as susceptible to the rabbit hole as everyone else, and as an intelligent person be able to see, when it is laid out in front of her in creative detail, just how remarkable the Kalicia relationship is.

And the parallel between the tragically abandoned threeguesses fic and the dropped Kalicia story is ABSOLUTELY a thing powerful enough to turn her around!! Genius

I thought Jules put up a good fight against the rabbit hole. She's a better woman than I!

And on a sappy note, this little community has given me so much happiness since I moved from passive to active participant a year ago. You ladies have done more for me than I can articulate.

Did threeguesses ever give an explanation for the heartbreaking abandonment of that fic? I still think about it ruefully when searching for new fic :(

Oooooh, that's absolutely brilliant! I wish JM could see Kalicia and its fandom through your eyes, at least for a few seconds. Thank you so much for taking the time to write this, schwarmerei1! It seemed completely obvious that "Tango to Kalicia" would be the tipping point. I mean, it's *that* good!

I don't know why, but despite everything that's happened to our put-upon OTP, I still have some hope.
