Title: The Wedding Plan
Pairing: Sakuraiba, slight Ohmiya
Rating: PG-13
Summary: Nino, Aiba's best friend was getting married. Being a professional event planner, Aiba decided to take a month off to help his best friend with his wedding.

It has been a while since the last time he went to Chiba. Even though his whole family lives there, life in Tokyo has just been way too busy for him to visit them once in a while. Being an event planner has given Aiba numerous chances to travel and meet many people, but it also took all the time he had for anything else. At the age of twenty nine, he doesn’t have a girlfriend, even though he dated several girls before. None of them could endure his long work hours and constant trips away from home. He doesn’t mind the fact that much though. Getting married or settling down has never been that much of a concern to him. He loves his job and the freedom that it gives him. He does feel lonely from time to time, but something always comes up and keeps him so busy that the loneliness just doesn’t have enough space in his life. It has always been 100% work for Aiba.

However, this time, he decided to take a whole month off to spend time with his best friend and help him during his most important time. His diligence at work impressed his boss so much that he was granted a two-month paid vacation. Half of it will be for his best friend’s wedding, and the other…. he doesn’t know yet. He was planning on traveling abroad or maybe just staying with his family. All he knows is that, he finally has time for himself…

“Knock, knock… Somebody there?”

The familiar bratty voice of his best friend brought Aiba back to the presence.

“Kazu-chan!!!!! I’m sooooo glad to see you again! It’s been such a long time! Did you miss me? You look great! New haircut huh? Oh, and the color… I haven’t seen you with blonde hair for a while! I’m impressed…” Giving his best friend a big hug, Aiba started pouring questions on the smaller man, but he didn’t give Aiba a chance to do so.

“Hai, hai…. You’re still cheerful and energetic as ever, Ma-chan ne~! What were you thinking about just now? Don’t tell me you’re already missing me being single…” Nino flashed the same bratty smile to his best friend while helping him with his luggage. Even though they have known each other for almost twenty years, they haven’t been able to meet each other for almost two years.

“I’m so happy to see you! You’ll have to tell me everything on the way, ne?”

The two best friends left the train station talking and laughing happily like that…

*******

“Ohno Satoshi?!? But that’s a guy, right? Don’t tell me…” Aiba couldn’t hide the obvious surprise in his voice when he heard the name of Nino’s soon-to-be husband. “But… since when are you… like that?”

“Haha, calm down, Aiba-chan. I didn’t think it would end up like this either. We met at my work place around two years ago, and at first we were just normal friends. But then, I started falling for him without knowing. I didn’t have enough courage to confess to him though. I tried to convince myself that it was just a normal crush because of lack of relationships. I even tried to date a few girls to get rid of the feeling, but it kept growing stronger.”

Nino stopped to glance at his best friend. He knew it would be hard for him to process the fact that he is getting married with a guy. He’s never shown any interest in guys before. He’s never been interested in anyone but his  Oh-chan… Luckily, Aiba didn’t show any sign that he disliked the fact. I think he’s just shocked and curious.

“After I confirmed my feelings for Satoshi, I still couldn’t bring myself to tell him the truth though. How could he possibly like someone like me, right?”

“Hey, don’t ever say that! You’re the most amazing person I’ve ever known! That ‘Oh-chan’ of yours should feel lucky to have you.” Aiba snapped at Nino suddenly. He hates it when Nino gets pessimistic. Nino usually is the type of person who would feel no shame claiming he’s the most handsome person in the world, but Aiba knows Nino’s not the type of person he claims to be. He says those things, but he never thinks them. “I can never find anything bad about you!”

“Haha, I knew that would definitely get you worked up! Works EVERY time! You surely did not change at all!” The little brat laughed victoriously at his innocent friend.

“HEY!!! Why did you trick me using that? I was serious!”

“Oh, come on, Aiba-chan. I haven’t been able to pull a prank on you for ages. I’m surprised I only had one so far…”

Aiba couldn’t help but laughing along with his best friend. It’s always been like that. Him being bullied by Nino, but he doesn’t mind it though. That’s how they became best friends anyway. And besides, he knows his friend never meant any harm.

“Ok, Ok… I admit you’re good. Now, finish your story!”

“So, I didn’t tell Oh-chan, right? Not because I think I didn’t deserve him. Just simply because I didn’t think he would feel the same way. He didn’t seem “different” at all. Then, about a year ago, he confessed to me! He said he liked me since the first time we met, but he also wasn’t brave enough to tell me before…”

“Why did he wait for a year? Why didn’t he tell you earlier?”

“Our boss wanted to send him to Tokyo to work there at that time. He thought he wouldn’t be able to see me often, so he decided to confess. It turned out that the job lasted for only about half a year. He proposed to me about two months after he got back to Chiba.” Nino couldn’t help but smiling contently thinking about the past two years that he had with his future husband. Even though they haven’t been together for a long time yet, he knows Ohno is the one for him, and he’s extremely happy they can finally be together forever.

“Wow! That’s soooo nice! I’m happy for you, Nino! And envy you, too! When will it be my turn…?”

“You might find someone at my wedding…” Nino gave Aiba a smirk, which made Aiba wonder what was on his mind. But he never had a chance to process the thought because someone clearly “distracted” Nino from continuing his sentence.

“OH-CHAN!!!!!! Did you miss me?” Nino jumped happily right onto the so-called “Oh-chan”. He was taller than Nino, but not by much. He had spiked brown hair and extremely tanned skin. Even though he had a sleepy expression, his eyes shined with happiness when he saw Nino home.

This Ohno guy looks so kind and handsome. Aiba thought while trying to avert his eyes from the love birds as they’re now doing some more inappropriate activities. That was when he noticed another person next to Ohno. He was slightly taller than Ohno and extremely attractive.  His hair was dark brown, which made his white skin brighter than normal. Aiba didn’t dare to look him into his eyes, but he managed to catch a glimpse of those beautiful dark eyes.

He’s HOT!!!!  I can’t believe I’m thinking a GUY is hot, but everything about him just seems so perfect… And his eyes.... I feel like melting looking into those eyes…

“And this hot guy is…?” Nino’s voice brought Aiba’s head up and he caught the other guy’s intense stare on him.

Cute and sexy...

“My name is Sakurai Sho. I’m Satoshi’s best friend. I’m going to be his best man. Yoroshiku!” Sho answered Nino’s question and gave everyone a bow, not forgetting to fix his gaze on Aiba once he lifted his head up.

“If you’re wondering who he is then he’s Aiba Masaki. My best friend. He’s also going to be my best man. Hot, right?” Nino smirked at Sho when he noticed his intense stare on Aiba. He just couldn’t help but teasing the guys a little bit. “Aiba-chan, why are you so shy suddenly? You’re normally very excited. What happened? Do you like Sho-chan?”

Aiba couldn’t stop blushing since the beginning and with his best friend being a brat, the red color on his cheek just got darker.
Can this get any worse?
