Aside from all the obvious reasons (ie: they can't work past a certain time thus all of the older people, those of us who actually COULD be going to bars and whatnot, have to work the late shifts)...they don't get any of my witty pop culture references. Don't worry, I get it... or maybe you should worry. lol. Anyhow, this goes right along with trying to be witty in front of your friends' parents or older people that aren't all that in tune with pop culture. You know what I'm talking about... when you say something that in your head just before you say it is hilarious and you think man, my friends would think this is funny. So you let loose and say it, and then there is an awkward silence and like tumbleweed rolls by. Then you have that awkward "man I just bombed" face while everybody else has the "dumbass" face. Like it is so unfunny to them that they were insulted. You know what I am saying right?
