a gender neutral term such as "trombones"!

I heard him once call the flutes "ladies" but I belive they are in fact all female.

no. doesn't seem that way anyway.

It's awful - it's giving me a complex or something. The other night I had a dream where it was after one such band practice and everyone was talking about it as we were dismantling our instruments in the physics building. We said that either I don't exist or I must look like a man. Then as I was leaving the building to go home, Harrison Ford told me that I really looked like a man.
