Well, I've been accepted to McGill, and one of the profs there is going to fly me to Montreal for part of spring break. Wahoo!

Now I'm just waiting to hear from U of T.

The guy who wants me to work for him at McGill focuses on the electronic properties of low-dimensional materials (quantum wells, nanotubes etc.) at ultra-low temperatures.

Next year I'll be a masters student, but I'm aiming for a PhD in physics.

it's neat how our little group of friends from pvec is studying such vastly different subjects now!

do you want to teach and do research at a university eventually?

Right now I'm leaning just towards pure research, but I like teaching too, so maybe I'll do the prof thing.

They're the only places that I've applied to so far (they're the only ones with deadlines). My first choice is U of T, I think. But I might still apply to Waterloo.
