Hey guys, most of you probably know that I am applying for grad school just now and one of the things to do is to write a statement of purpose that the committee of the selected uni will read. I would really appreciate if you could answer the following questions as that would help me loads with my statement. Please take a couple of minutes

well, since you ask...and since this IS what I am going to grad school for..they want to know why you want to come to THAT university. remember, that you choose a university based on the research interests of yourself and that they align with at least one person on the faculty. if they don't, there is a chance you might be bored. If you don't have interests that align, but they give you money, go anyway. my tip for the day. They want to know what experiences you have that will make you unique (i.e. internship in Japon, leadership work at the pool, supervisory, etc). They want to know what you want to learn and why you chose that school to learn those things. You might want to relate some of your FSU courses to the syllabi and program outlines that you have read about on the websites. Also, let me read your essay when it's done because I sure as hell have pumped up some essays, undergrad and grad that have been killer and moved people from probationary admit to regular admit. Lastly, a more for sure in is to 1)visit with the professors
