I would like to be your friend, if that is all right with you. I came across your site from denimblues site. I am closer to you in age to you than some of the other friends, but age is not a factor in friendship. I also have had similar surgery as your son, and at about the same time I have one son; he is 31 at this time and married with two young children. Please go to my site for a bit more info. I actually haven't written that much there, but keep adding to it as I go along. Thanks for the consideration of adding me as a friend.
I've friended you, and am looking forward to getting to know you!
Interesting that you have had the surgery as my son did. Actually - - he had two surgeries -- one to create the j-pouch, and then after a 3 month "healing time" the j-pouch was connected in another surgery. It was a rough time for him, and I hope that you have come through your ordeal well. I have some a few entries about his surgery. I have not tagged my entries, but they are under my memories should you like to read them.
I tend to be overly very long winded, and post photos often, as that is my hobby.
Hi! I came across your journal through northernsnokat's. I cried while listening to the song by Josh Groban, it was the hope I needed for my day. Feel free to look at my journal. I would like to get to know you if you feel we might be compatible. We have several lj friends in common. 99% of my journal is public, so you can read all you like. Nice to meet you!
Sorry for the delay -- I'd love to meet you! I'm friending you now - as soon as I send this :)
That song by Josh Groban is wonderful and it's the way I want to approach people in my life (but don't always). And, I've had wonderful people in my life who have been that source of strength for me. Oh -- and Josh Grobans's voice?!?! *swoon*
In so answering your comment, it, then, is not screened anymore. If you would prefer it to remain screened, let me know! The screening is for the benefit of both of us in this entry.
It's so good to meet you! I have friended you back, and am really looking forward to getting to know you. We've got a few friends in common, too
( ... )
Hi - I'd like to friend you here on LJ - we obviously have cats in common and I think enough else that we'll be comfortable. I notice we have a couple of mutal friends already. Hope to get to know you better!
Welcome to my friends list! I have friended you and am very much looking forward to meeting you! You're right - - we have a number of things in common -- most of all kitties. I love my sweet Shadow :)
You might want to know that I tend to be way too verbose -- and have a bad habit of being boring at times. But -- in among the mundane lies who I am :)
FYI -- for the next few weeks, I'm going to be a little more scarce than usual with trips, trips and more trips, oh my -- not to mention the holiday LOL. I'll be reading and commenting and getting to know you as I can, but when I'm pressed for time, usually writing entries takes precedence. But -- life always calms down after storms and I will take more time. :)
I think we've exchanged comments in mutual friends' journals from time to time. I only have about 4 friends who post regularly, and I'm looking for some new ones. I haven't been posting much lately, but I'm going to add you to my friends list (I'm friends-only). I'm using my "cats" icon to remind you that I too have two black littermates. :)
I think we have exchanged comments once or twice. I'm looking forward to meeting you and I'm glad we've friended each other :) I do post pretty regularly -- at least I have been for a few years now. I've had this journal since 2001 - though 2002 was kinda spotty.
Cute kitties on your user pic - - and I am VERY sorry about your doggie you just lost. I know that I've been through this with my Phantom kitty (Shadow's littermate sister) and it's heart breaking.
