whoa, been a while (again)

Geez, I press the "post" button and then step away, and suddenly MONTHS have flown by! I check LiveJournal almost every day, so it's weird to see that it's been so long since I've written here. Combination of not much to say/not much time to say it when I do, I guess ( Read more... )

Ooh, I remember those days of hitting the back button and losing everything, or if my internet would space out just at the moment I clicked the post button, and then get one of those "the page cannot be displayed" messages and lose everything... Good times XD I don't mind that communities don't post a bazillion entries per day anymore because it's hard to keep up with, but yeah, I'd like to see some more personal posts from friends as well! Posting IS like a hobby to me. =3 Do you have anything specific in mind that you want to do, for your new hobby?

Haha, yeah, sometimes the internet would just choose to implode at that moment. How lucky! XD And it was worse with dial-up of course.

Keeping up with a lot of community posts does get a bit annoying, but I like that it shows people are actually out there, excited and contributing fanworks. It's sad when a fandom tapers off and dies out.

I guess that's true, blogging is a hobby! I don't have anything in mind yet...but all my current hobbies are kind of related and indoors type stuff (reading, writing, anime/manga, crafts) so maybe I'll try to think of something outside my comfort zone.

Same here... Wait, does reading books outdoors count...? In that case I have something that's not indoors! X'D But yeah, it's probably really hard to come up with something new, maybe you could try all sort of things and see if you like any of them?

Even if everybody stops posting here I would probably keep it up just as a diary...I like looking over the old entries and seeing how much stuff changed, like the kids!

That is very true! It's neat to go back and see what was going on in your life then. And yeah, how neat to have a more unique record of the kidlet growing up. It might be a fun idea to make your blog into a book (with Blurb or some other site). You can even keep the comments so he can see how many people thought he was adorable! Haha.

How long have you had an LJ?

Ah yes, the fine days of LJ drama. Now I'm lucky that the Russians are taking over the abandoned places community so I have regular updates there. I will say that tumblr is pretty entertaining, but I don't think I'll ever give up the LJ. At least not for several more years.

Yep, aside from specific wank comms, the golden age of LJ drama seems to be over.

That is very awesome. Such a cool opportunity to see abandoned places in a whole other country.

I agree, Tumblr is fun but LiveJournal seems so much more interactive, and underrated. It's comfy here.
