What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
been in a good relationship, played rugby, been on a team in college, gone to bonnaroo, visited tennessee, gone to a sorority recruitment, smoked weed, been a telemarketer, had my own car. Oh! and owning a dog, voted in a presidential election .

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make a resolution. I think everyone always says they will be healthier and that's always my resolution. Not necessarily to lose weight, but to just feel comfortable with myself and feel healthy.

Did anyone close to you give birth?
no

Did anyone close to you die?
no.

What countries did you visit?
just canada.

What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
more self discipline and tolerance .

What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory?
june 12-15- Bonnaroo.
august 22- trip to canada for liz's birthday 
november 8- mine and adams anniversary
November 4th- Barack's election and the subsequent mayhem on the Syracuse campus

What was your biggest achievement of the year?
I did pretty well this semester. Better than I thought I would do and I am very satisfied with my grades and I hope work ethic that I adopted at the end of the semester carries over into 2nd semester when I am facing some challenging courses. .

What was your biggest failure?
Not getting an A in graphic design, Not losing weight and generally not following through with any of my goals for the semester.

Did you suffer illness or injury?
I had a few minor aches and pains from rugby in the spring as far as sprains and bruises go..sundays after tournaments where i played second row i could not lift my arms above my shoulders and pretty much could not move....but nothing major.

What was the best thing you bought?
My puppy!!!!!!!

Where did most of your money go?
Clothes and food/beer.

What did you get really, really, really excited about?
I looked forward to Bonnaroo for months. I always get excited to come home and see Layla .

What song will always remind you of 2008?
Anything by Lil Wayne, Love Song, anything on rock band, let it rock, too many.

Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) Happier or sadder?
happier despite that I pretty much have no life these days.
b) Thinner or fatter?
exactly the same weight but I feel so much fatter because I haven't been running as much 
c) richer or poorer?
poorer.

What do you wish you'd done more of?
studying, working, going out off south campus.

What do you wish you'd done less of?
procrastinating .

How will you be spending Christmas?
We opened presents, took Layla for a walk, ate too much chicken wing dip at my grandparents house, hung with the out of town relatives there and realized that no one really cares about Christmas past the age of 18, which is unfortunate.

What was your favorite TV program?
the office and most recently anything on the history channel

Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
i dislike a lot of people. there is only really one person that I truly hate and i've hated her since I met her on the first day of college.

What was the best book you read?
I Am American and So Can You by Stephen Colbert. SO hilarious, I loved it. Pledged: the secret lives of sororities was good too.

What was your greatest musical discovery?
mgmt. and giving jack johnson a chance.

What did you want and get?
some books. some clothes. a boyfriend. good grades.

What was your favourite film of this year?
I just saw Doubt and it was so good.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 19. I worked at Dairy Queen from noon to 5 and Marc visited me and brought me candy and a card. then mike baker came in early so i could go home. i ate chicken tacos with my fam, went to the sabres game with liz suchan and my dad and sister (they lost), and then opened gifts and ate coldstone cake with the fam This year's birthday is going to suck, which I'm already accepting.

How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
this summer i was totally a hippie, or at least aspiring to be one. recently i've been trying to dress a little classier/ preppier. just bought some velour pants which i swore i would never do but they are so warm. I try to mix trends with comfort. My standard uniform is jeans or leggings with an american apparel v-neck and cardigan with uggs or flip flops.

What kept you sane?
coffee. adam. liz. having an apartment.

Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Barack and Michelle Obama. They are so classy.

What political issue stirred you the most?
anything involving the presidential election and people's ignorance. probably that people said "if obama wins I'm moving to canada" okay, ill-informed conservative, move to a country with a more liberal government than obama will institute.

Who did you miss?
I missed Layla (my dog) more than anyone or anything when I am at school.

Who was the best new person you met?
New person? hmm. There are a couple acquiantences but no one that really stands out.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Budget time better. People rarely think about consequences when they want something, try to be accepting of everyone.
