Day 24 - A love triangle/quadrilateral that worked out badly?

All of them? Seriously though, they all work out badly for someone. Love triangles are annoying in general and they suck and tv should stop using them unless they can make them interesting which is very unlikely. For me the triangle that worked out the worst was Addison/Derek/Meredith

GA was one big triangle (quadruple, whatever you call it when everyone starts something with everyone *lol*) anyway.
If you can name one character who didn't have a relationship with at least two other people on this show, then you're good, I guess *lol*

Seriously. This one is really even more like a love square when you throw Mark in there...What a hot mess of people sleeping around. They're all nasty as Bailey would say...course even she wasn't excluded from that..

Ughhh, and the thing about Derek/Addie/Mer(/Mark) is it actually was interesting, though. The Derek/Addie/Mark side WAY more, of course. But I'm not going to say the Meredith part wasn't, because, holy shit, the s1 cliffhanger was amazing, and a lot of the beginning episodes of s2 when we were trying to learn about Addie and her and Derek and watching all three of them - it was good stuff. Now, once he picked her, then the Meredith part became more annoying (for me!), but for that I blame Shonda because she could never see that there could have been another option and because of that something that really was interesting just ended so, so, so horribly.

So basically, your point about love triangles/etc. - they are overused, but this was one of the better ones, until it all got shot to hell.

We're both forever bitter. The things we could have had. ALL the creys. ALL. I almost want to give her a modicum amount of credit for not dragging it out but that was more about her own blindness than not wanting to drag it out forever. Then of course came the contrived drama so...Course we were stupid enough to think that maybe the AU would tell some of the more interesting story but that got blown to hell too.

I knowwwww. So much wasted potential in favor of contrived drama. Canon and AU. Just look at how amazing the perfect crossover was, and to think we could have had things like that instead. *cries forever and forever*

At least we got that. And we got Maddek. And we got other moments of amazingness. But, ughhh, Shonda and her stupid insistance of 'twu luv'. Just yuck yuck yuck.
