Day 28 - A pairing that you will never understand?

In an answer that will probably shock you all (note the sarcasm) MerDer. Never got the appeal. Of course I've actually never seen S1, minus Addison's entrance on YouTube, so theres that.

Haha. This is my answer too! And I saw S1. S1 is cute and fun, but I never loved them in S1. I was, I don't know, okay with them, I guess? They weren't actually together in S1, and the biggest crisis was the whole intern/attending problem (I've never actually watched S1 since we knew about Addison, so I know it would be different watching the whole thing and knowing that, but not knowing that makes it so much more innocent).

But anyway, the point is, that sure, I can get liking them in S1. It was cute (albeit inappropriate) and it was fun. But the second you find out HE HAS A WIFE? A wife he didn't TELL her about? And then not to mention calling Mer a whore in S2. Like, why why why why why why why why why would she ever take him back after that? Why? And I don't buy Shonda's whole 'twu luv' crap, because it was a one-night stand and for 12 episodes of s1, Meredith was pretty okay with keeping it that way. Derek was the one pursuing her, so when she found out he had a wife? THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE END RIGHT THERE ( ... )

Yeah, thats why I've never bothered watching S1. Everything would be weird knowing everything. Plus there would be very little of the things about GA that I actually did like so.

Right? Like all preferences for Addek aside, that is so very not ok. Like no. Its made that much worse because he was the one going after her and he was her boss like good lord...how sleazy is that? Then not only does he have a secret wife, he goes back to her and calls the one innocent person (at the time) in that whole mess a whore cuz she's sleeping with other people because he's a jealous ass hole when he has no right to be? Why would anyone with any shred of self respect take him back? Though of course I wonder why I like Addek so much when Derek is such a dbag...but thats an entirely different thing ( ... )
