I have a question

So I don't have much to update on but I do have a question, why is it that, when you are driving at night and you turn your rear-view mirror into that night mode thing it works and you can see fine out the back window, but during the day time if you do that it doesn't work you can't see out the back window? When you switch my night vision mirror at night-time, you can only pick up head lights. I've never tried it during the day. That's why they call it "NIGHT VISION."

Well yeah, when I switch it on at night I can only see headlights too, but when I switch on during the day I can't see anything, well I can if I adjust it, but its wierd I don't know i guess sometime I will just have to show you.

A lot of people have been asking that question lately... it has to due with the reflection of the headlights. You point the mirror either up or down(when you hit the switch) and it catches the reflections of the lights coming through the window, not the direct light, making it seem like the lights behind you are dulled. IT doesn't work during the day because you can't pick up the reflection from the headlights because the sun.
