Fixable, hopefully, although the bank won't make any promises. Just bloody inconvenient to discover the morning that I needed to buy everything for Christmas.

TD Canada Trust. Someone copied my bank card, apparently, was using it in Ontario, and managed to spend all of my money in about a twelve-hour period.

Is your bank gonna help you out or what? It's a case of theft and your bank should give you back it all.

The bank "couldn't make any promises", but think that I'll be able to get my money back. I just have to wait a few weeks while they "launch an investigation", so in the meantime, I'm living on VISA.

The bank doesn't know where the bastard could've copied my bank card ... could've been anywhere. As for where the actual theft happened, he used it at a bunch of stores like Walmart and Shoppers Drug Mart in and around Toronto.
