You should come over to Cincinnati for German food. Though it's probably too late to invite you for Oktoberfest since it starts tomorrow!

That picture is awesome, it'd make a great poster.

I dont think I have the copyright for that.

Oktoberfest....we have one here but the food is horrible. I would just rather make it all myself.

I rarely find anything that comes close to what my grandmother made...or what my mother still makes when i go to visit. I am glad that I paid attention growing up.

Ah, I misunderstood and realized that that picture was not one you have taken on your trip, because you haven't gone yet :P

What is your favorite German dish? I'm not a huge fan since I don't each much meat, but I do love beer cheese soup.

Ya know....of the 18 years I spent in Germany, I never had beer cheese soup. I wonder if its a German-American creation.

My favorite is Roladen....flat piece of beef with mustard and onions and bacon, rolled up and slow cooked in a dark beef/merlot sauce (thicker then Gulasch).

I eat sourkraut cold out of the bag (out of the can is nasty) and I love rotkraut with mustard.

Wow. I just had an odd experience reading that entry ... my name is the same as your roommate's (except with one more "n") and I live near Amish country in PA.

Maybe it wouldn't be so eerie if it weren't 6pm on a Friday (which is braindead time) ... dunno.
