Cold, and Busy, Days Ahead
Life these days is all work and no play. Well, not much anyway. I work nearly every night at the restaurant and while most weekdays are slow this week has been booming. Do You Hear the People Sing...er talk?
Do I need to wear a sign that says, “I’m kinda deaf please don’t talk to me while you are walking AWAY from me”? I have to pretend that I understand what people are saying to me when all I really hear is a babbled mess. Generally I give a (very uncomfortable) laugh and nod my head.. Growing up my mom always told me about the importance of a sincere apology. Don't apologize and then point out all the things everyone else did wrong even if it's true! It’s that time of the month. The time when I spend hours and hours in front of my computer at work, hunched over, click clacking away at the keyboard, filling out spreadsheets, adjusting budgets, accounting for a million and one charges on corporate credit cards.
