idealism....how i love and loathe thee

So I was thinking, as I often do, I think that a lot of the cause of my moments of unhappiness is that I may be too idealistic.  Things will never be as they OUGHT to be - in any case.  This is not stemming from anything specific.  Don't anyone read into this and think of it as more than it is - because its not anything more than my usual ramblings ( Read more... )

You need more things to occupy your day.. loneabhorrence November 9 2004, 06:54:39 UTC
Start playing videogames, works for me. Escapeism (sp?), what a wonderful thing. Here's a few bonuses from them that'll cure you of your past/present/future thoughts:
The Future: You'll get around to it when you have time. With all your new found procrastination, you won't have to worry about the future ever again, you've a future for a character to worry about first.
The Present: Forget all your worries, you won't have any! That's right, none! Why you ask? Well, it's because you'll be oblivious to everything around you, esspecially people that are talking. How awesome is that?!
The Past: The things you'll remember... From killing the Bloody Gorlaxious Boss in Algeberian dungeon level 5, to how the main characters Dracan and Alexandrea fell in love, but then tragic events tore Alexandrea from Dracan, via a blade through the gullet. You'll forget everything else... Wait.. I know you, don't I?... WE WENT OUT?! whoaaa....

So start today, and be forever obliviously oblivious! Yay!

No more of this... dansmesreves November 10 2004, 15:19:44 UTC
You need to rethink some things. Come on, you wish to "be content with the present time." You shouldn't have to be content. You should love each day of your life, even the little parts, like taking long showers. If we have to shop every day until you realize how much fun we're having, then so be it... Break out the credit cards!!! But seriously, you have so much to be thankful for, and I know I don't have to tell you that. You're young and you have an amazing friend named Deanna who loves everything about you. So stop worrying so much... better yet, stop thinking so much. Save those thoughts for more wonderful diabolical plans involving rugs and mirrors. Your other thoughts should be about other things... like 10-inch eels. :-) I'm here for you and I wish for you to more way more than just content with the present.
