Supernatural 4x13
Just gotta say... Colin Ford is freakin' AWESOME as wee!Sammy!!!! He has Sam's "looks" and moves down perfect. A+ to Colin!! And a big A+ to Supernatural for continuity by using the same actor for wee!Sam.
Was kind of worried about how Brock Kelly would handle teen!Dean but he seems to have really paid attention to some of the little quirks & mannerisms Jensen gives Dean. Maybe he watched some episodes, studied up a little? Kudos to him for the effort if so cause those are some mighty big shoes boots he's trying to fill by playing a young Dean.
Wow. "Just live the life you wanna live". Ouch!! Way to break our hearts there Mr. Teacher Guy! And Colin does emo!Sammy almost as well as Jared does. Little wibbly lip, puppy eyes and all!! Aaww poor baby. *sniffles* Stop that Mr. Cutie Colin! Only Jensen & Jared are allowed to break me with the emo and angst on this show.
Holy crap! Sam got beat up by a little girl! *tries to smother inappropriate laughter* Wow Jared looked fricking huge next to that actress. o.O Ooh I'm totally jealous of that chick for getting to do that scene with Mr. Hotness Padalecki. Is that bad of me? :p That would've of been a badass scene to get to do with him if all you got to do was just be a quickie guest actress on the show, huh? Oops! Watch out! Don't trip over my Jared-being-all-ginormous-is-so-freakin'-HOT kink that slipped out there. 'Scuse me while I shove that back in the closet again. ;)
Man! I just keep being impressed by Colin! He really, really sold that whole fight scene! I wondered how that scene would play out. If it'd be believable y'know? But ... yeah. He really made it work. I'm sold on this kid. He's got some serious acting chops. I would think it's gotta be damned hard to play a character that's already been established by someone else, played by them for four years now. Looks like he really paid attention to Jared's portrayal of the Sam character. What a little doll he is! I just wanna smoosh his cute little cheeks and give wee!Sammy a hug. *lol*
Hmmm, so when you step through the looking glass and look back, seems like Dirk's daddy viewed his son as the one being bullied. Oooh and Sam was the one who gave Dirk his cruel nickname! OuchOuchOuch!! Stop it Show! You're hurting me with all the damn Sam pain! (Nah, don't really stop. but... ya know... just... OUCH dammit!)
I think I could have done without the scene with that blonde chick trashing poor wee!Dean at the end but I think I understand why the writer's included it. Showing us how alienated Dean was from others his own age by the strange upbringing he'd had, yadda yadda and so forth. *yawn* But it was interesting the way they juxtaposed the Dean scene with the one of everyone congratulating wee!Sammy on beating up the bully and basically calling him the hero. Especially since we'd already found out how sad Dirk's story was and how badly it ended. (And again with the ouch-ness! wtf Show? dang!)
Well the Samgirls wanted a Sam-centric episode... I'd say this qualifies. Definitely an interesting look at Sam's backstory.
I liked it. Considering that I was sort of cringing at the thought of the possibility that this episode could become a huge, ugly train wreck , I ended up being pretty pleased with how it was all handled. Thought it was a pretty good episode. We got a little peek into The Brother's past. Jared was wonderful and yummy while angsting (as always). Colin did an absolutely amazing job of mimicking Jared's version of Sam while still owning the part of wee!Sam once again. Brock did a good job (with what little bit of screen time he had) of filling Jensen's shoes as a young Dean. And we all learned (once again) the invaluable lesson that high school is Hell and if you can survive that, you can survive just about any damn thing. And maybe also that you shouldn't judge someone 'til you've walked a mile in their shoes cause you never know what suffering they could be hiding... or, ya know, somthing like that. ;)
And I'm just spoilered enough to be seriously anticipating next week's episode. Don't worry! I don't & wouldn't spoil anyone. :)
