Utah--an interesting phone call and a beautiful ceremony

Strangely coincidental that I get a call today from a church member asking me to update my address for the records. The Mormon church keeps very accurate records, all the better to try to cajole their reluctant members back into the comfort and security of the church community

I've often been glad that when I "broke up" with the Catholic Church (which both of my parents were raised in and raised us in), that it was over several incidents that made both me and them flamingly angry, so it was easy to cut all ties right then and there. Of course I've had to deal with it since then, mostly from strangers, but there's never been any expectation by my family that I would go back. (Well, maybe a little...they joke about it sometimes. And as my parents get older and my brother gets more mentally-ill, they're all drawing closer to it themselves
