Author's Notes/Warnings: I've been wanting to write this for forever. Mia and Oliver really need to talk about everything. Hopefully when she does come back they will talk and not just ignore everything that happened.

“Ollie.”

It was late, and dark, and Mia knew that Oliver didn’t want her to be around him anymore. Ever sense he killed Prometheus, ever sense she wanted to kill the Electrocutioner, she knew he didn’t want to see her. Or well she knew it was more like he didn’t want her to see him. But she didn’t care, so she headed into the woods to track him down, and followed him back to his… arrow cave.

He turned and looked at Mia like he knew she had been following him the whole time. “Hey…” He lead her into his… hideout or whatever he was calling it and Mia looked around frowning.

“Batman called he wants his cave back.” She said and looked over at Oliver who grimaced. “Really though, Ollie… what are you doing?” She lowered her voice for some unknown reason to her and gave him a serious look. “You shouldn’t be alone. You can’t live like that. It’s not you.”

Oliver pulled his mask off and frowned at Mia. “It is now.” He said. “Mia, you should go. You shouldn’t be around me anymore. I taught you everything I can. You should take those skills and run before-”

“Before what?” She asked furrowing her eyebrows. “Before you screw me up? Trust me, Ollie I’m there.” She walked closer to him. “You know what I’ve been thinking about lately?” Mia leaned against a table and paused for a moment as if to let Oliver answer but he stayed silence. “That one guy, remember when Star City was in that bubble and I shot that guy?”

“Yeah.” Oliver said quietly.

Mia nodded her head and sighed. “I’ve been thinking about that a lot. I remember I was so… sorry. I thought I was doing the right thing. I mean I had to… someone had to.” She looked over at Oliver as if she was seeking his approval still and bit down on her bottom lip. “But this time, with the Electrocutioner, I didn’t care about the right thing. I was to get…”

“Revenge?”

“Yeah I guess.” Mia shrugged. “He’d deserve it.”

“Roy killed him.” Oliver said and Mia looked down at her hands taking a deep breath that sounded vaguely painful.

“Good.”

“No, Mia, not good.” Oliver said and walked over to her lifting her face so she was looking at him. “That isn’t what we do. It shouldn’t be at least. I mean… You shouldn’t. You’re better than that. You’re still… innocent. You can come back from all this. That’s why you need to stay away from me.”

Mia stared up at Oliver for a moment and raised her eyebrows. “Innocent?” She said quietly.

“You have a good heart, it’s not full of hate yet and… you should try your best that it stays that way.”

“Full of hate?” Mia frowned slightly and leaned into Oliver hugging him. “Ollie, I… That’s because of you. Do you even realize what you’ve done for me, at all?” Oliver frowned over the top of Mia’s head and she closed her eyes leaning against his chest. “If it weren’t for you taking me in I’d probably be dead. If it weren’t for you letting me be Speedy I’d.. I would be full of hate and anger and.. And I-”

“I know.” Oliver said putting his arms around her and lowering his head. “I know Mia.”

“I love you, Ollie.”

Oliver stayed silent and just stroked her hair until she pulled away and looked up at him. “What?”

Mia opened her mouth though what she was struggling to say didn’t seem to be able to come out. It had been on her mind and bothering her for a while. But it was just difficult for her to bring up.

“What’s on your mind, Mia?” Oliver asked again and she sighed.

“Remember when you were… a Black Lantern?” She said and Oliver frowned more, if that was even possible and nodded his head quickly. “When you were a Black Lantern… when you were talking to me… You said-”

“Mia,” Oliver said in a low voice and she looked at him nearly in tears and he pulled her into a hug again. “Don’t. I… Mia I didn’t mean that. I’ve never thought about you in that way. It was just Nekron’s influence twisting things to get to you. I wouldn’t ever hurt you like that.”

She shook as she started crying into his chest. “How could you even think that?”

“I don’t.”

“You’re supposed to love me.”

“I do…”

“Am I really that worthless?” Mia asked obviously not listening to Oliver until he forced her face up to look at him again.

“Mia!” He said giving her a serious look. “You’re not worthless. You’re worth more to me than anything.” She frowned and he pulled her into another hug. “I didn’t mean that. What I said was just things being twisted and… it was meant to fuck with your head.” Apparently it worked. “God, I’m sorry you’ve been hurt so much by that, me…” With everything that had been happening honestly all of that hadn’t been at the front of his mind at all.

Mia took a deep breath and laid her head against him again, her crying slowly stopped and she frowned to herself. “Are you ok, Ollie?” She asked reaching up rubbing his arm. “You really shouldn’t be alone.”

“I’m not really alone.” Oliver said and Mia looked up at him.

“Please don’t say the forest is here with you or something like that.”

Oliver laughed and shook his head. “There is this other guy around. Galahad.” Mia arched an eyebrow and Oliver smiled sitting next to her. “He broke out of a… mental health facility when all this happened to the city.” She nodded and laid her head on Ollie’s shoulder. “I’m not completely alone I guess.”

“Good.” Mia said curling up against his side. “I miss you.”

“I miss you too.” He looked down at her. “But you still should go. Listen, Mia, I know right now you’re going through a lot. But if you stick around me, you’re never going to be able to deal with it. I’m not good for that kind of stuff.” He had his own shit he needed to deal with, and he wouldn’t be able to help Mia like she needed. She could only really help herself.

Mia was silent for a while but nodded her head. “I’ll come back.”

“I bet you will.”

Mia smiled and hugged Oliver again kissing his cheek. “Thanks Ollie. I’ll see you later.” Mia got up, pulling her hood up turning and waving before she left him. Though she knew he was following her, just to make sure she made it out of the forest ok. So when she got to the edge she looked back and smiled faintly and waved again. “Bye, Green Arrow.”

“Bye Speedy.”
