As a maturing gay I am strangely drawn to fashion. It's the FASHIONFAG gene. A few years ago my dad went to Italy and he asked me what I wanted in terms of souvenirs.

MY ANSWER WAS "DOLCE & GABBANA." ahsahsahsavbghahaha. My dad has different taste in clothes than me so he got me a shirt I didn't like. That's too big for me. :( But I got a D&G shopping bag and tbqh that is exciting enough for me.

I have a VERY active bag gene as well as a healthy shoe gene. I have never felt the need to have my bag match my shoes. That's for old ladies I think.

I fully blame Erin for activating my bag gene. Until she came along, I didn't fine anything wrong with utilitarian rucksack over the shoulder hobo things that smelled like hippies and empty wallets. Now I have more purses than I ever could need, and probably could afford to pare down a bit, but whatever. I've been carrying the same purse for a year and a half now, but it was my first big purchase (not really that big, only $75, but still) and I love it. It's from a designer that left Nine West to do her own thing, and what lovely things she does.

I admit though, I occasionally covet more bags. I don't care if they match my shoes, but I do care that they coordinate with my outfits. Thankfully, a black bag with silver accents matches well with EVERYTHING.

Oh, I have the bag gene bad. It's so bad I have bags for very, very minute qualifications. My Russian Literature bag. My Linear Statistics bag. My non-linear Statistics bag. My cat bag. My Bag for cords and plugs for equipment I take on the road. Of course three laptop bags, two are the same, except one is black and other is orange...

I'm going to stop now.
