“Life couldn’t get better…” Kibum sang to ‘Miracle’, while pressing his headphones closing to his ears.

The small blue alarm clock beside Kibum’s laptop showed 7:30pm. 8 hours have passed since Hankyung left, Kibum told himself, I wonder how’s Heechul doing…

All of a sudden, laughters echoed throughout the dorm. Kibum jumped in shock, and rushed down to the living hall. All he could see was a seemingly lunatic Heechul. Kibum sprang to the side of Heechul.

“Hyung! Are you okay?” Kibum exclaimed, while catching Heechul before Heechul landed on the floor.

“Yeah yeah of course! Which part of me doesn’t look fine? I’m definitely fine, but my heart hurts… You know that Hankyung? DO YOU KNOW??” Heechul shouted while throwing his empty Soju beer can onto the floor, which was littered with five other Soju cans.

“I’m not Hankyung, hyung. Hyung, you are drunk!! Do you need me to carry you to your room?” asked Kibum anxiously.

“Me? Drunk? Who are you kidding Hannie? You are the one that is drunk! Who have been avoiding me eh? WHO? Who do you think you…” Heechul stammered while collapsing onto the floor.

Kibum looked on helplessly, while shaking his head in worry. He carried the skinny frame up and started towards the door of his room.

Kibum saw how much weight his hyung had lost. His cheekbones were sunken in, and dark circles were starting to form around his eyes. He has lost his liveliness, his own sense of humor. Kibum flinched away.

How Kibum wished his hyung could get back his own self… Kibum remembers how Heechul attracted and appealed to him. Heechul started leaving him for Hankyung when Kibum started to show signs that he loved a girl. Kibum wished that he wasn’t so foolish at that time, and his hyung would not be in such a terrible state. And definitely not be with Hankyung. If only he could change the fact…

How much Kibum wished Heechul would forget Hankyung, and love him like before. But it was all too late. A slip off his finger, and Heechul was gone. If only he could place Heechul back into his life…

He looked at his hyung lovingly. Although his hyung was still beautiful outside, like a melodious scene played before him, this scene seemed to have lost its rhythm. Without the rhythm to any song, the song would merely be notes, with no value. Kibum pushed away the bangs away from his hyung’s forehead, and whispered “Saranghaeyo” into his hyung’s ear, before tucking himself into bed and drifting into his own dreamland…

“Where am I? Where am I? Heechul’s panicky voice rang through Kibum’s head.

Kibum’s eyes snapped wide open. Over there, sitting on his own bed was Heechul. He turned and looked at his cell phone. It read 9:00 am. He rushed to Heechul’s side and hugged his head into his own chest.

“Heechul, you’re in my room. You were drunk last night so I carried you to my room,” Kibum said.

Heechul turned and faced Kibum. “Ohh… Thanks,” Heechul said. To Kibum, that was the voice that he has been searching for. It sounded like the melodious voice of the nightingales. It was heavenly.

How he longed for Heechul to be by his side again and showing his love again… But he knew how close Heechul and Hankyung were, and they were his hyungs too. If only… If only he could capture Heechul’s heart again…

“Hyung, you want to go out for a drink at the newly-opened club? Kangin said that it serves pretty good drinks,” Kibum questioned.

“Eh? Oh… okay anything,” Heechul said, while rubbing his eyes, “I would like to have a bath first though.”

“Sure.” Kibum nodded.

At the club, girls came flocking towards the duo. Kibum flirted with them, but Heechul looked on nonchantly.

“Something’s definitely wrong with this guy today,” Kibum noted. Everyone else in the club was all in high spirits. Wild lights flooded the whole club. When people were seen dancing their hearts out to the beat of the catchy “Fire”, Heechul was looking aimlessly at his drink and swirling it. It was his 5th cup.

“Hyung, stop it,” Kibum said with a tinge of anxiousness in his voice, while pushing the cup off Heechul’s shaking hands.

Heechul’s head, as if like a puppet, lurched towards the bar table. “Don’t stop me…” he stammered.

He paused at that position. His hair drooped over his worn-out face, and then he leaned backwards, fingers inching towards his drink that has been abandoned minutes ago. Kibum stole a glance at his lips. The scene of Heechul voluntarily lunging onto Hankyung and showing his love for Hankyung on national TV flooded through his mind…

A wave of anger engulfed Kibum, and he clenched his fists together. Heechul was supposed to be his, he told himself. It was until Hankyung came crashing into their life and stealing away the love between them then this happened…

He gritted his teeth together, and felt heat rising through him.

“Hannie, my dear Hannie, why did you leave? Why did you leave? Do you know how hurt I am?” Heechul said, with his voice rising in pitch with every word, while shaking Kibum violently.

Kibum looked at his hyung’s eyes. It was a perfect shade of hazelnut brown, but they were empty and hollow that day. Kibum could see longing within those eyes.

“Hannie, why don’t you come back to me… Why?! I love you so badly…” Before Kibum could mutter a reply, Heechul grabbed Kibum by his shoulders and their chests met.

Kibum knew that this shouldn’t be happening. But his heart betrayed his mind and actions that day. He didn’t stop Heechul, neither did he shake Heechul to his senses. He knew that Heechul was in drunken mode, but instead, he enjoyed every moment of it. He knew that Heechul wasn’t hugging the one that he truly loved. But it was revenge, and it was hardcore revenge. And he had to show Hankyung what revenge was… Bit by bit…
