YAY! Finally!

I'm so excited! I start my study with my stepmom tomorrow, and we are gonna be going to be studying every Tuesdays, and hopefully Thursdays. I have to go shopping for my clothes to go to the kingdom hall, cause of course I can't go in jeans, and then I'll be going to the meetings every other sunday (on the sundays I don't have to work). YAY! I am ( Read more... )

Hello!

I just wanted to applaud you on the steps you are making to learning more about Jehovah. And with time you'll see all the blessings that Jehovah will provide you with. Keep it up girl!

By the way...my name is Tanya, I'm a JW from Mass.

Hi, I just added you as a friend. I too had to buy some clothes recently. I remember the first assembly I went to, I was the only guy in thousands wearing jeans. It's pretty embarassing. I still don't wear a suit every week, but I'm doing better now.

Seems like we have similar jobs too. I used to have to call people, but then I got to work in customer service. If people are really mad about being called on Sunday, they let us know on Monday. Anyway, thankfully, I moved on from that and now I work at an inbound call center for Ticketmaster. Not quite so bad for the self esteem, but I'm so sick of the holidays already. Nutcrackers and Christmas spectaculars. Sheesh, I'm looking forward to January.

Anyway, nice to meet you... it's always nice to find someone else excited about coming into the truth!

aww thanks! I added you back! i love having new friends! ;) Yea I have never went in jeans cause my stepmom wouldn't even allow me to walk out the house in jeans to go to the hall or to an assembly. I tried to even wear slacks once, and she was like, "Umm you need to change"

Yea call centers are s tough job. It's MENTALLY draining! People thing just cause you SIT for 5-8 hours it's Not hard work! HA! I dare anyone to try it for a WEEK and then DARE to say it's an "easy job"... whatever!

Dress is one of the aspects I have trouble getting used to. I mean, wearing a suit and tie is obviously not a Bible teaching, and I feel like other people's opinions are being imposed on me. My mother-in-law who's been in the truth for 20 years said I won't be allowed to do a talk unless I'm dressed like that. I guess I dislike the man-made restrictions. Or something.

Yeah... people can be pretty mean sometimes. I'm just very glad I have something to look forward to now when I'm at work... like it said in this week's Watchtower - a spiritual paradise now, and the physical paradise to come.
