It sounds very much like she's clinging which, while highly irritating and obnoxious, also comes off as desperate. You have the high ground here because you are current and, additionally, not made of fail. You don't sound jealous, you sound reasonably peeved. I'll go kick her for you.

And it just struck me today what she's doing.. she's "marking her territory" as it were. And really, I don't feel like having a pissing contest.

She may need a kick. So, I thank you.

Let's hope he seems it that way too.. And I'm "reasonably peeved".
