Everyone keeps telling me what I should be doing with my body - be it through words, literature, gentle mentioning’s or down-right bullying. Generally speaking, the moment you find you’re pregnant your body ceases to be yours any longer. And anyone who mentions “choice” is mistaken. I salute you. I've had so many rants about this recently! I'm currently breastfeeding, but I went through 6 weeks of intense pain & no sleep to manage it & the only reason I kept going with it was because of the immense pressure & guilt attached to not doing it (ok, that and the fact I had already bought 4 nursing tops. Damned if I'll throw away the money I spent on clothes without wearing them- heh). In hindsight - i was stupid to let it go so far. It made me ill, although I'm fine now. Everyone has an opinion about babies, but no two are the same, so ignore them all & do what the hell you feel comfortable with :o) That's what I'm doing now.

(Plus, my mother in law was the worst at pushing the breastfeeding thing. Really. Especially as my sister in law found it so easy *eyeroll*. So I feel for you with your comment at the end there. You're not the only one.)

Also, congratulations by the way!

Thanks for the congratulations!

I'm sorry you went through pain and illness with it. But it's always best not to waste new clothes. ;) hehe

I'm already feeling the guilt and the pressure about it, because I don't feel comfortable with it. And I honestly want the father to be as hands on as he can be.

And I didn't even think about it, but friend's of ours just had a baby, and the baby hates the breast. She'll drink the milk, but never from the breast. And that must be really hard emotionally.
