WORD FROM LETZRING

Hi Doan,

I cannot thank you enough for e-mailing me and sending me that speech.
You
are a really special young woman and I am honored to have been able to
get
to know you those two years. Students like you are why I have so much
passion for teaching and advising.

I have had a very nice year this year, teaching some new math classes
and
being advisor for the senior class. It is not quite the same as
student
council, but I did run a bonding night for our council and I ran it
like our
second SALS lockin (the one you organized) and we even played the
gumdrop
creation game that I learned from you! At the end I read If and took a
page
from Powell's book and read "The Giving Tree". I did the significant
Item
thing I did at the first SALS lockin and my significant item was the
scrapbook that you all made for me before I left. I have added all the
cards and letters that I got from students at Randolph and it truly is
my
most significant item. I miss you all a lot. I would have loved to be
at
your graduation, but it was the day after my senior prom and I had my
inlaw's anniversary party that night. I was so bummed to not be there
to
see you graduate, but just know I was there in spirit.

As for personal stuff, I bought a house in December, and we have a baby
on
the way!!! There is a lot to be excited about in my life right now. So
where are you going to college? You must be excited to move into the
next
stage of your life. Enjoy this summer, it is probably going to be the
last
one with all of your friends, sad as that sounds. So borrow from
tomorrow
every day this summer, and make as many memories as you can. I'd love
to
hear back from you, and congrats on graduation!
