The year that was..
So....
See if I can do one this year.
2008
1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
- Ran a bar, with luck I can keep doing it
- Promoted a gig or two, both went well and have been asked to do it again
- Taught myself the basics of Photoshop
- Had a wedding anniversary.
- Oh yeah... Bought a house, well I say "bought", we have another 358 payments to go, roll on 2038
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
- Probably not... cannot remember making any, was not really planning much this time last year
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
- There have been babies here and there... most I touch have vomited on me.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
- Yes. and fucking hard it was....
5. What countries did you visit?
- None... this year I am going to get off this rock for a while I promise
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
- A better grip on life..
7. What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
- All a bit personal to put in here.. but some will remain
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
- keeping going, following a dream, seeing pirates.
9. What was your biggest failure?
- Gaining about 4 stone..
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
- I am more run down so things hit me harder then before.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
- A house (2038 baby... yeah!!!!)
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
- The wifes, The Sisters, and a few others
13. Whose behaviour made you appalled and depressed?
- The Sisters, some others but they might get to read this somehow
14. Where did most of your money go?
- The House.. Food.. Travel... and i have no idea, seems to go
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
- The house, a pig and Pirates
16. What songs will always remind you of 2008?
- Please see above
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? - Neither... dont have time for them
b) thinner or fatter? - Very much fatter
c) richer or poorer? - On paper Ritcher... but never seem to have money
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
- Exercise, have not have the time
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
- Everything... Brains a bit full
20. How will you be spending New Year?
- In my bar dealing with dickheads who seem to think its ok to draw on the walls of my dj box, and who look upsent when i chuck them out..
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
- Most mornings.. even when she snores
23. How many one-night stands?
-I have a lamp stand, does that count
24. What were your favourite TV programs?
Loads.... have been catching up on the last 10 years of TV thanks to the internet
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
Hate is a really strong word, so I'll say no. but some I have reevaluated my position with
26. What was the best book you read?
- I read lots of books... cannot remember much at the moment.
27. What were your greatest musical discoveries?
- Pirates... That is all
28. What did you want and get?
- She's still heres and still breathing, this is a good thing
29. What did you want and not get?
- a gold plated toilet - my Driving License - 1 billion dollars
30. What were your favourite films of this year?
- Again, saw loads thanks to the internet, Iron Man was brill mind.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
- I think i went to work, i was 28 and people came up for a little party at the bar... Think I might have been a little stonned
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
- A fray bentos steak and ale pie... which i have in my kitchen right now.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
- Dark Blue jeans and a Black T-shirt (add on the underwear and socks the entire outfit costs about 7.40p)
34. What kept you sane?
- The wife... who aslo sent me insane for a while... but it all balances out
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
- We have a list of people, but thats for us
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
- Nothing really.. Did not even vote.
37. Who did you miss?
- Certain people... but I am sure one of them sees me more then I see him.
38. Who was the best new person you met?
- New person... as in a baby? Probably Charlie, Deneils Little one... He is just another in a long line of Babies which fall under my baby calming charm so its nice to be able to hold him. (also undeservedly painful that i am so good with kids... but that's a whole thing I dont want to ope right now)
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
- Always get the number from the support band and they are always frigging late.
