Can anyone tell me before I have to go to work again...

Being self employed... what is it i can claim back on.. I have heard lots of differing statments and cannot seem to find a list of what I can and cannot.

He's a self employed bar manager, so it's mainly food, travel, stationary, steel toe capped boots (!), printing stuff at home, phone calls etc....

All of those things will be classed as expenses, cleaning of clothing, but you need all your receipts to be able to get it is as accurate as possible and for proof if the IR wants to query it. I just asked Tom and he is self employed and owns and runs his own business and all of those are justifiable!

Have a look at the actual forms online as they are really useful. I know you will be really good at this Joan from working in Insolvency!!
