You know, I think I'm the only one who ISN'T excited about the Sox winning...baseball sucks, it's so boring and half the people who are suddenly excited about it never cared to begin with either. Sometimes I wonder about this crazy world and the people in it

its a big deal in sports history...it happens with basketball too, in fact, all sports...nobody gives a rats ass about some sports until playoffs, championships etc...til it means something. I'm not a huge fan of baseball, but the Sox deserve it!

yeah, I know it happens and that this is a big deal to THEM and other baseball fans, but I just don't understand why people who weren't originally baseball fans are suddenly baseball fans. You didn't have to defend anything or anyone, it was just my opinion

Okay, as an unconditional fan of the greatest game ever I am used to other people finding it insanely dull and boring, so I forgive you:-P

Heh no I totally know where you're coming from though. Some people get it, some people don't. I think the only thing about the Red Sox is that it's been nearly 100 years since they last won the world series. It's almost like a movie where the underdog finally gets what they've struggled for so long. If they win the world series it'll be a good story more than anything.
