Bummer! That's really a nonsense reason not to go to a plane they assumedly liked. Oh, the life of customer service. If it's not one thing it's another.

At my job, it's written into the training guides that we're not allowed to laugh at the caller . . . where they can hear us. People sometimes.

I must say that I rather like going into places and hearing people chat, otherwise its too creepy and uncomfortable.
Maybe they were having a really bad day and you were an easy target to take it out on.
