This neighborhood that I live in is so, so so fucking strange. If i can ever figure out how to post pics on lj again, I will have some to share

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, man. I do not miss living in a more...i dunno...populated area? I mean - i have houses around me, but since Route 66 is literally my 'street', there is almost no foot-traffic, and all the 'weird neighborhood shite' goes on on other streets.
Like Monstrous' and her BF's house, where the drug dealers/buyers/users across the street get up to all sorts of antics, and occasional bounty hunters come skulking around.
No blow jobs in broad daylight, yet, but one guy *did* sit in his car and snort up dope in the middle of day.
Humans are just fucking stupid.
And OMFG, yeah, Uber-guy/medical 'professional' - you are a moron, homg.
Man I wish I could park you in front of my neighbour who constantly complains that this area has become so rough and crime-ridden because his car has been broken into three times in the last 12 months. Any damage? No, but they might have cloned his key fob because he's very sure he locked it, but in the morning the door is ajar and someone's been through the glove box looking for cash.
*blinks* *facepalms*
The street has a Watsapp group and literally no one else has complained about this. And, trust me, if it was happening to other people it'd be the hot gossip and they'd probably be setting up a neighbourhood watch committee already. One might even go so far as to suggest that my neighbour, while a lovely man in most regards, is not very good at ensuring his car is actually locked and really needs to stop leaving cash in his glove box.
omgosh, yeah. back when i had a car, it got broken into once but it was TOTALLY my fault as i didn't lock it up securely. luckily i didn't have anything in there other than some cigarettes and an old gps that i miss terribly as it had all my favorite places stored. *sigh*
it's just a weird place to live compared to anywhere else i've ever been. so urban and crowded!
one of my neighbors has lived here 35 (!) years and is in the process of buying lots along the street as they become abandoned. Since we moved in, she's bought three places along the block and after the house is torn down by the city, she plants grass and keeps them all mowed and nice ... so there is that! it actually looks a lot better than it did when i first moved here. :)
