Probably what has been the most intense week so far in OT school is starting to wind down. Tomorrow brings to exams, one assigment to write, and one assignment to check before turning in. There's also work and laundry and packing to attend to. Then Friday its a Sue class then home to Ohio for a few days.

I loved being on the spinal cord injury at Spaulding (in Boston). I could really see myself working in a place like that. They were quite biomedical/biomechanical. I really like that, but I think they could have done a better job of also incorporating occupation into their therapeutic interventions. This weekend finds me on the road. I'm in New York right now, staying at Steph's parent's house on Long Island. I saw NYC and the Statue of Liberty for the first time today. Well, I got a job. I don't know why, but I applied for one. I got it. Turned it down twice. It was offered again. I took it. I worry I won't have time to do it, then I remind myself how much I used to do and how I do so much less now. I could use some structure to my evenings. Perhaps it'll force me to stay ahead. I found my poetry books while I was home. The first book has poems that I wrote 15 years ago. They are short, filled with rhymes, and are very sing-songy. The second book picks up in high school- which is actually when some of my best stuff was written. My writing is different now. Poems and songs still have rhythm, but seldom rhyme.
