I really love the first one - so dark and distant from all other people, that particular perspective. And you wrote it in first person! Love!

As per usual, I creeped myself out in writing it. Apparently that is the only way I can write Palpatine. This says disturbing things about my psyche, no doubt. But I am glad that you enjoyed it! :) Maybe after the mininano challenge is over, I could post it over on unlimitedepower?

Ah, but the experience of distress at one's own literary tendencies is a product, not of the actual text produced, but of the dissonance between that text and one's own expectations of self: what is appropriate for me to write, and how far have I transgressed it? Ergo, I may still be "farther gone," in that sense, than you … And I should probably point out here that I am currently reading tendentious articles for a hyperbolically self-reflexive class, so I am, of course, talking nonsense!

You can't possibly tell me that looked like gen. Can you?

attrition gets us all in the end.

Some more Palp-philosophy here, and this makes me think of old!Palps from ROTJ, not the cackling Palps of ROTS. Age has worn him down, or is it success? He ruled for so long.

Loved the last = Trever listing his misfortunes and Ferus thinking about his spotty Force connection, while Ryn simply moves and solves the problem!

Also the nude drying off scene on Ansion gets some much needed attention.
