Am I really the only one who thinks Story of the Year isn't as good as all these people make them out to be? Half their fans are from seeing them on Mtv, and those people don't know how generic they are. I agree. They have like one song that everyone knows, but, like you said, that is only because it is catchy. I don't see what all the fuss about them is. They aren't that good.

I agree. I know they're not the most original band in the world and I have never given them credit for THAT, but I think they do what they do well and I dig their tunes. And more than just the one hit, for the record.

And I'm curious to know what qualifies as selling out. Is it the desire to make money and share what they love doing with the world? In which case, 'selling out' sure sounds like the sensible thing for anyone to do.

Have you heard the Big Blue Monkey EP? They changed their sound to what was popular to make money. To me, that's what selling out is.
