I'm sorry to hear about your co-worker. I just had an aquaintance of mine killed about two months ago. I'd known him since high school but didn't really get to know him. And then I read in the obituary section of the papers that he was killed. It's like... "Whoa. That sucks." My condolense (sp?).
I'm also under-staffed at work. One of my co-workers who'd been with us for little under 2 years decided to quit. Don't know why, but ever since she got her license she hadn't been showing up for work and when we call her for work she says she has a headache or "she's too depressed". I guess it's not that big of a loss ^^;
Yeah, it sucks, but I guess it sucks harder when you're really close to them, as it should. Ah well. ^^ And hah, yeah, sometimes it's better to have a heavier workload than to spend the day pissed off at a coworker that doesn't do the work...
