dear god. im sick of all this college crap and im only a junior! i still have at least a year of this left! my parents and i have our meeting with mrs. grossman wednesday afternoon, and today looking at colleges went into hyper-drive. my parents want to go to mrs. grossman with a list of the colleges that i want to look at. they want me to take

First, I went on a zillion college trips with The Grossman. You know college tours? I did two.

Then I flipped through a college book looking at overlaps. This quickly turns into something like clicking on the "Related Articles" links on Wikipedia, except instead of going from color psychology to blood type mismatches to an article on Elvis (don't ask), you go from Pomona to Grinnell and eventually wind up at Brown University.

Then I just applied to the ones I liked. Occasionally they met this long list of "qualifications" that I had for schools and that therefore, statistically, proved I would like them.

Other times I just said "I like this school because I do." And I applied to those too.

Also, the massive pile of mail colleges have sent you at least gives you a really, really long list of names to look at.

oh yeah, what Mrs Grossman thinks you will like, and what Mrs Grossman thinks will match you--ignore all this. That woman would have had me apply to Cal Tech. EW.
