This picture makes me so confused. She's waving a siddur, the same siddur that I pray with, and we believe in the same G-d, the same Torah, yet she is standing in the way of peace. And yet, I agree with her. And I don't. I don't think I'll ever be able to condemn the "settlements", but I don't know if I'll ever be 100% for them. Where do people like ( Read more... )

Amen.

Sorry if I don't know what's going on, but how is she getting in the way of peace? If it's because she's opposed to Sharon, I'm not sure I disagree with her, because from what I can tell Sharon isn't doing the best job of working toward peace. But again, I don't know a lot that's going on.

I think (not sure) that the woman feels that more should be done to the Arab terrorists. She obviously feels that they should all be killed or prosecuted, but I do not think she favors peace.

And Lila, I agree, this entry also made me think a lot.

There's actually a lot of different reasons of why they might be in English. 1)A lot of very religious people only use Hebrew when praying, and speak Yiddish(combination of German and Hebrew) or English when they are talking.I don't really know if thats the case here.2)Maybe they wanted to get the attention of Americans, since this whole Gaza pullout plan is what Bush wants.3)A lot of "settlers" are Americans. 4)Maybe the Post made this picture up. You never know.5)I have no idea.
