Where is the joy?

Do you ever look in the mirror and wonder who it is that's looking back at you? This past week or so I have felt that way. I'm not completely sure how to describe it, but I guess the joy just hasn't been there. I have not been doing as well as I want to be with God. Don't worry about getting a certain "feeling". There are many emotional highs and lows in the Christian life. As long as you persevere, you can get through these tough times. Trust God to get you through it.
And don't spend your time trying to conjure up a certain feeling. Jesus never said our life on earth would be a rose garden. In fact, he said we'd have many trials and persecutions here.
