There's a special on PBS tonight, some Doo Wop concert from Atlantic City.  Right now, the Duprees are singing "Have You Heard?", before was the Platters and "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes".

I, too, am a total doo-wop fan (though I prefer Johnny Maestro's earlier work with the Crests). And I deeply miss Don K. Reed and Cousin Brucie (who I've been listening to since I was a kid) on WCBS-FM.

I highly recommend to first two volumes of the Doo-wop Box Set if you can find them...

I did pledge $150 for the 3-DVD set of this 2005 PBS doo wop concert. It contains so many great performances, but especially the nine songs by Johnny Maestro and The Brooklyn Bridge. Maestro just turned 70 on May 7, 2009, and his voice is as strong and vibrant today as it was over 50 years ago singing "16 Candles" with The Crests. The 1999 DVDs "Doo Wop 50" and "More Doo Wop 50" are also great.
