I'm all for satire and humor, but that's just offensive. I can only imagine the uproar if other religions, say, Judaism or Islam, were depicted in such ugly, gross terms.

It is what we (supposedly forward-thinking, progressive) liberals are about?

i think "offensiveness" is in the eye of the beholder and i do apologize if i've offended you with my el jay post! that was not the intent. i was just super excited about the chance to win some much-needed dough and to color in a silly wabbit.

if the portland mercury was a credit-worthy newspaper, perhaps i would be offended. instead it's a weekly publication known for poking fun at everyone, while publishing trashy portland gossip, celebrity gossip (usually about k-fed and britt or tomkat), and concert reviews. not that it matters, but i showed this to my (christian) mum and we had a good chuckle this morning.

and just to provide another opinion, I don't see how it's offensive. but that could just be because I'm not christian or religious at all.

but I laughed at that for a good five minutes. mostly at the look on the bunny's face.

i wish i could pop out of an pink and yellow (colors pending a formal decision) easter egg.
maybe thats how ill spend the time between now and easter. . . .forget about lent (i gave up smoking, remember mel?) im going to figure out how to fashion a person sized easter egg.
