Pick a character and I will give and explain the top five ideas/concepts/etc I keep in mind while writing that character that I believe are essential to accurately depicting them. Any and all characters welcome (including ones I haven't written but might know about...)

i like your Swindle. he seems to share a lot of traits with my headcanon's Swindle, which is always fun. ^_^

1.) He's cold. That is the first thing that always comes to mind. Shockwave is cold. Feelings, pain, your personal welfare- suck it up or break down, its what you've earned. If you cannot fix it yourself, you deserve it. No pity will come to you from Shockwave.
2.) Manipulation is the name of the game. He likes to play with people, and he's good at reading them. Creepy good. I figure to have been Longarm, he'd have to be. And he enjoys it.
3.) He's obsessive. Whether it's a mission, interrogation, investigating something, or his collection, he wants to know every facet of it, and he needs as much control as he can get. It must be perfect, it must be flawless, or it will simply not do. It will be his way if he has to break it down and destroy it to rebuild perfectly ( ... )

1.) He's an angry person, and very argumentative. He wasn't allowed into the Elite guard because of his temper after all. He's also in my head cannon as being barred from several establishments for starting brawls.
2.) He has a bit of a drinking problem. Not a huge one, and he keeps it under wraps, but when he's depressed or anxious, he tends to turn to drink. It feels it makes it easier for him to express himself.
3.) He's good at his job. He probably isn't observant enough to be a field agent of the caliber Blurr was, but he has a good eye for what is important, and a sharp memory. He's good at putting pieces together.
4.) He has a very strong sense of justice and right and wrong. He's not quite black and white in his thinking, but he's close. You're with him or against him, there's moral and evil, and he has trouble reconciling when these conflict.
5.) He's usually pretty dead pan and serious, but he has a good sense of humour.

1.) He's young, but he's experienced. He won't hesitate to pull a trigger if he has you in the cross hairs.
2.) He really cares about the people around him, though he can come off as irritating or too chatty. He has trouble bonding and opening up, but really wants to achieve some closeness in his life.
3.)He talks before he thinks about what he's saying sometimes. His mouth and his brain are far too much in tune with each other, and that can get him into trouble.
4.) He likes to have fun, and he likes being around people. It makes him feel safe.
5.) He's always a little bit worried that he'll lose everyone he cares about.
