Due to an unforseen shopping development, I now have two packets of overripe strawberries, and one of grapes. And an aubergine. (Admittedly, that one I actually asked for.) Ah, the joys of shopping at stalls! In Tesco's no-one randomly foists cut-price fruit upon you, and I feel this is a mark against them

Mackerel I like. Strawberries I also like. Mackerel + strawberries might possibly cause a rift in the space time continuum.

Cake might be an idea... I have icing sugar.... Hmmm.

Are pizza and movies a do-able thing? You could have a slumber party? With hats?

Strawberry bavarois cake. A friend of mine made this last week and it was DELICIOUS.

Oh, wow. That looks amazing. I always wonder how they get the tops so smooth. Although to be fair, looks don't really matter when it's cake. :D

Ooh, cheesecake. Now there's an idiot-proof recipe I could definitely try out later on.

I have some extremely flat-looking strawberry scones in the oven, which I hope will come out at least edible. I may have had to exchange some ingredients. *frets*

However, I have half the strawberries left, so I can use them for cheesecake if these scones have to go in the bin, yy?

Ooh, I have some nearly over-ripe strawberries too. Maybe strawberry muffins? Or for you, strawberry and grape muffins? NOM. These strawberry & ricotta muffins look nice too, but I don't have any ricotta at the mo.
