Some days I think I just don't understand the boy; one day he comes home with a gun in his trousers, the next he's hanging balls of dried fruit and telling me it's 'potpourri.' I knew making him wear the wedding dress would have a psychological impact.

BWAHAHAHAHAHA I LOVE IT. LOVE IT. ♥ And it's better than 70% of all the other Life on Mars fics I've found, which may not be a good thing.

Also most stories seem to have Sam being the one to start it, what with Gene being the straightest man to ever straight, but that brilliant last line makes it totally believable.
