hey, iam posting due to sheer boredom at work. 3 hours; 3.5 calls. I actually nodded off for a moment.

I am thinking of killing this journal. Effectively. I am a lurker. I contribute little to nothing to the great big community. I just like reading the goings on of friends, celebrating their small daily victories with them.

If people don't like what you post, you can always unfriend them.

Plus if you delete your journal, you can't see what those of us who are friends-only write!

Delete??? who said anything about delete? I just had to decide whether or not I would just abandon it, private lock it but lurk on my friends' ljs any way, or pre-post months worth of the same LJ-secret-ytype banner with tears or blood or maybe just dumb looking people emblazoned with the caption "Don't let creativity-squelching free-speech smothering dumb people kill your journal. Anonymus-crazy-rant blog today!"

You need to keep in mind that this is YOUR journal. If people don't like what you want to say in it, then they don't need to read it. I know that I've writen things in mine that some people have complained about or disagreed with, but I tell them the same thing. No one is forcing them to read anyone else's journal. I might read something that I disagree with in one of my friend's journals, but I certainly would never say anything to them about it. Its their place to write whatever they want, and I choose to read it because I find them interesting ( ... )

thanks for the boost, I just am too considerate. I just have to tiptoe around because I seem to attract people who are extremely insecure and/or "sensitive". I don't know why I put up with it. And the sad part is the are the same kind of people I tend to open up to, a lot, but they can't take it.
