I've always believed that homosexuality was genetic.

If accepted, this will shake the religious right and expose them for the bigots they really are.

After checking out some of my family history, I have identified gay members back 4 generations. In the family that I personally know there are 3 on my father's side and 2 on my mothers. Guess I was destined to be a pole smoker. LOL

Very interesting stuff. I'm glad to see that science is finally coming up with some answers.
It probably won't shake the religious right however since they don't believe in science anyway.

Disparate pieces of evidence - such as ... identical twins having more similar sexual preferences than ordinary siblings - have long suggested that biology rather than upbringing shapes sexual preference.

I have an identical twin brother and he's not gay. But I guess if someone really wants to believe the research on genetics, then you would say that he's 'still in the closet', or that 'I haven't found the right girl yet'.

Physiological studies show that self-declared bisexuals exposed to straight and gay erotica are aroused by either one or the other but not both.

Man, I'd love to be conducting one of those 'physiological studies'...
