I very much enjoyed this. The beginning is so ominous, and yet Lem wakes up to hills of green and skies of blue; a bright blessed day after a dark sacred night. "What a Wonderful World"?

I love how your title alludes to where one might expect this ending is going, and then the tale followed the hint planted on the musical subconscious.
