Lux Pain
-- at first I thought it was going to be a nice DS mystery visual novel with horrible formatting and grammar, but then after a few chapters shit hits the fan and everything starts going downhill faaaast.
The translation keeps messing up with the he/she pronoun when reading the text. Which makes me go ???? whenever a character keeps talking about something and it was another character being mentioned.
It stays constantly in a small boxed format that leaves a lot of space on the right for the text to stretch on whether in narration or in textbox. That's why there's plenty of words li-
ke this appearing cut-off and looking ridi-
culouswhen there's more space.
I kid you not. I don't know why, but sometimes it goeslike this as well with the words sticking together or not being written rihgt for no apparent reason.
Spoken text is not at all frequent and when it does, sometimes it's in conflict with the text that's being presented on screen. You have to lower the music and sound while leaving the voice high in the Sounds option screen so that the music won't drown out the voice.
You... get used to it I guess?
Too bad the text translation is stiff and mangled. It makes me laugh sometimes instead of instilling a mysterious serious mood.
I hate you Silent battles. I really do. My right arm feels like it's been mauled after repeated attempts at subduing episode 7's elusive Silent. ): The battles kept getting harder and more frequent. Darn youuu.
So like when I took a break from the super wonderful fun dungeons of Strange Journey, I didn't expect a super fun time to occur as well in Lux Pain in the form of Silent battles and people finding on a time limit.

In other news, my thyme got sun fried when I forgot to water it a teensy bit a few days ago. From the yellow leaves I kept seeing I thought I'd cut back on the water, but my plan backfired when the sun got too intense that day.
So now it's super trimmed. *shakes fist*
Now my problem is the tree sparrows chomping on my plants to make nests. No plant was spared. Even my beautiful lavenders and mint plants! WHYYY WHYYY !? They're too young to be mauled like that!

And also, I got my grades. My prayers were heard. I passed every subject ~ ♥♥♥. My ritual was a success.
Thank you St. Expedite!
Only two more years before I finish college.
