Today was my first day of my internship at the State Department. We had our orientation which consisted of multiple briefings on exactly what "classified" means and exactly what to do about it, a semi-inspirational speech about "being the future" and of course, lots and lots of paperwork. Ah, Jules, I'm proud of you! Remember when we met each other at UPS... we were in line for something -- root beer floats, maybe? Anyway, my philosophy when I started college is that I would introduce myself to anyone I landed next to -- and that's how I met you, babe! Now, I haven't exactly kept that up, but it gave me a fantastic start to college.

So, the moral of my story? Introduce yourself to everyone you land next to, and go from there! Who knows, you might just meet your next Lump!

Hang in there my sweet! I'm sure things will smooth out soon. Just be yourself and everyone will eventually love you. It is rather odd that the State Department would mess up your SSN... scary that an agency so high up would screw something up that important!!!

Keep in touch when you can. I'm back in CO now. I graduated on the 24th and moved back over Memorial Day weekend. I move into my new apt. in Boulder in a couple of weeks.
